Day 1 (Monday 9th June)
Meet up in the afternoon for an optional guided orientation tour of Milan, considered to be the symbol of the modern Renaissance of Italy. Stroll through its vibrant streets and immerse in their magnetic and lively atmosphere. See the Cathedral, probably the finest example of Gothic art in Italy, and the famous La Scala Theatre. Wander around the chic boutiques and luxury stores of the glamorous Galleria Vittorio Emanuele shopping arcade and enjoy the magic of the city. Head to a wine bistrot and, after a welcome aperitivo, savor your first Italian dinner with a special tasting of wines from Franciacorta and Valpolicella served and presented by a sommelier. D
Day 2 (Tuesday 10th June)
After breakfast, transfer to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Langhe-Roero- Monferrato vineyard landscape of Piedmont. Visit Canale d’Alba, considered the Capital of Roero and browse the food stalls of the local weekly market. Buy the ingredients of this afternoon’s cooking class with you chef. Lunch is at leisure in the lively town city center. After lunch continue to the villa and settle down in your room. Meet a local hazelnut producer to learn about this typical local product before today’s hands-on cooking class with Piedmontese recipes, in the presence of Roberto Damonte from MALVIRA, a local family-run wine maker who will present the different wines of the area over dinner. Day 3 (Wednesday 11th June)
After breakfast, transfer to Alba, the Medieval city of the 100 towers and enjoy a guided visit starting from Piazza Duomo to discover the history of the city and its Roman roots. Then, reach Barolo and enjoy a visit and a wine tasting lunch at the MARCHESI DI BAROLO winery. After lunch, stroll the charming town of Barolo, before heading to VAJRA for a winery visit and tastings along with a family member. Return to Villa Tiboldi for dinner at the hotel. B/L/D
Day 4 (Thursday 12th June)
Transfer to Torino, first capital of Italy. Set out on a guided walking tour of the city across its over
2,000 years of history. Then it’s time for a gourmet lunch break at a historic café in the city center, to relive the time when Turin’s cafes were places to discuss culture and politics. Free afternoon. Return to Villa Tiboldi and enjoy dinner at leisure at a local restaurant in Canale. B/L
Day 5 (Friday 13th June)
This morning meet a truffle hunter and his fellow dog. Learn about truffles and go in search of the precious tuber in the woods. Cap off the experience with a lunch at the owner’s farm. Return to the villa and later this afternoon visit the ANGELO NEGRO winery that produces wine since 17 generations, with a family member. Enjoy a tasting at the cellar and then continue for a dinner at the Michelin-starred restaurant IL CENTRO in the hilltop village of Priocca. B/L/D
Day 6 (Saturday 14th June)
After breakfast, private transfer to Pollenzo. Visit the first University of Gastronomic Sciences in the world and enjoy a guided visit of the near-by Bank of Wine. Then reach Bra and enjoy a stroll with some time at leisure for shopping. Lunch will be at Osteria Boccondivino, the place that gave birth to Carlo Petrini's Slow Food movement. The association aims to defend the consumer by promoting a food style and agricultural system that is "Good, Clean and Fair." After lunch, return to Villa Tiboldi for a final afternoon at leisure to relax at the pool. Tonight, festive farewell dinner at the Bajaj winery with live music and the presence of the owner Adriano Moretti, expert sommelier, and proud member of FIVA (Italian Federation of Independent Wine Makers). After breakfast, end of tour.
